About Cynthia

Cynthia (or Cindy, as her friends know her) has had a passion for sewing, historical fashion, film, and theater costumes since her early teens. She is drawn to the technical artistry, engineering, and collaborative aspects of costume making.  She received her BFA in Costume Technology, and has worked professionally at a number of theaters throughout the United States. Cynthia opened Redthreaded in 2009 as a way to offer her costuming skills to a global retail client base, and soon expanded the scope of the business to theatrical contracts as well.

Cynthia runs Redthreaded from a studio just outside of Boulder, Colorado, where she is lucky to enjoy a view of the Rocky Mountains just steps from her door.
